This piece is all cast bronze from lace and flower buttons. It is a collar that limits the maneuverability of the neck and the wearer’s ability to look up or down. The collar represents the ideals and desires of men that are forced upon woman, as the wearer is confined to carry themselves in a certain manner and act in a certain way.
